Profile

I’m a broad generalist navigating between strategic and tactical activities.
My work is based on three pillars:
Customer Research

I use mixed quantitative and qualitative methods to uncover user needs during the (preferably continuous) Discovery phase, leading to evidence-based design decisions.

UX Strategy

I help teams define a clear UX vision, goals and plans aligned to product / business objectives. This is a non-linear and collaborative process fed by research findings.

Design Craft

From wireframes and prototypes to pixel-perfect UIs, I'm still passionate about thoughtful execution. Craft is crucial and I believe that "doers are the major thinkers."

2019 – 2021
Maturix
At Maturix I could flex my Industrial Design & Engineering muscles once again, bringing a physical product to the market from concept to launch. I designed the enclosure for Gaia – Maturix' flasghip wireless transmitter. I drove product development from end-to-end, including research, conceptual designs, CAD modelling, renderings, 3D-printed prototypes, initial product engineering and DfM, as well as product packaging, manuals, guides and technical drawings.

Featured past projects

2018
Sírio-Libanês

Responding to a RFP from the Sírio-Libanês hospital, one of the most important in Latin America, me and an art director developed a proposal for a complete redesign of the institution's website that outperformed its competitors.

The outcome was an approved project with an investment of over €35,000 and an estimated duration of 20 months. The success of this concept also paved the way for a second collaboration, this time focused on the hospital's intranet, which was also approved and further implemented.

2017
Omni Bank

I created the full mobile experience of the first version of the app for the Omni Bank, a Brazilian digital bank launched by Omni Finantial Services in 2017 – a project that gave me some experience with design for fintech's.

Since its official launch years ago, the application has been updated a few times and it currenty has more than 100,000 downloads in total, both on Google Play and Apple Store.

2018
My Bible Study Fellowship

I was responsible for the experience and interface of the first version of MyBSF – a centralized platform for BSF members to conduct their Bible studies globally, wherever they are.

This project involved international cooperation across several countries such as USA, Brazil, India, Pakistan, China and Australia. I delivered a set of flows and screens designed to multiple devices and tested in 4 languages.

2017
MedPack UX Brazil

I am very proud to have been the UX expert consulted in a large study commissioned by the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (Anvisa) to investigate and improve the legibility of medicine packaging in the country.

The project included a national cross-sectional study with 6,255 participants and resulted in an extensive 100-page report packed with guidelines, best-practices and mockups. I was also co-author of a scientific article published in peer-reviewed journals such as PLOS One and others.
